Whilst some thousands of these printing machines were once in use throughout the printing trade information about them is now sadly illusive. This re-imagining of an original advert seeks to keep the history of the "Model" alive for those letterpress enthusiasts who continue to revere these machines and their capabilities.
An ideal gift for anyone fascinated by industrial history and vintage letterpress machines in particular. This is a great addition to any studio or office wall.Printed onto 220gsm archival grade 100% cotton rag using both giclée and letterpress printing techniques to emulate the trade advertisements of the early 20th Century. Size 20x15"Frame and mount not included.Posted rolled in a cardboard tube.
The Model printing press was patented in London in 1877 following its original introduction in America. Traditional and modern printing processes were combined to create this nostalgic poster which pays homage to the advertisements of the early 20th Century
