Our modern poster showcases The Elliott Quad Demy two colour printing press. This version of the revered Wharfedale Press was manufactured in Otley, home of the original, by Elliott & Co.
Printed onto 220gsm archival grade 100% cotton rag using both giclée and letterpress printing techniques to emulate the trade advertisements of the early 20th Century.

The iconic Wharfedale printing press was first manufactured in Oltley, West Yorkshire by William Daswon and David Payne and versions of their design dominated the printing world for half a century or more. The original inventors neglected to patent their design and consequently it was copied and manufactured by many other companies - including Elliott & Co.
